Mississippi English Language Proficiency Strategies: Implementing the MS ELP Standards

This training will consist of a one-day in person full day training coupled with 4 virtual follow-up Model to Mastery sessions to support use of the instructional resources that will be provided during the in-person, full day training session.  This training is designed for all teachers (EL, general education, special education) and administrators (building and district level) who support EL students.  For the in-person training, expert facilitators will lead MS educators in a deep dive on how to better understand the MS ELP standards, how they apply to the MS CCR standards, and how to use ELPA21 score report information to guide decision making and instruction. Educators will be provided with strategies, essential knowledge and skills, understanding of the English language proficiency levels and multiple EL specific resources (valued at $150).  The Model to Mastery virtual sessions will focus on the implementation of the instructional resources for optimum outcomes.  Registration is limited to 4 educators per district. 

Participants must attend the full in-person day and the 4 virtual sessions in order to receive CEUs or SEMIs.

Target Participants: EL, General Education, Special Education and Administrators that support EL Students.
